Wonderful crochet Site

I have been crocheting for a long time. I have been visiting this site for a couple years, and i think it covers so much about Tapestry Crochet. I am determined to try this type of crochet this year.
Carol Ventura covers the history of tapestry crochet. She has lots of patterns some of which are free.
Carol has written several books and she has been on TV demonstrating her love of tapestry crochet.
She has crocheted in many places in the world and her site is interesting, and a must see for crocheters. if you haven't seen it, check it out.

Aspiring to do Tapestry Crochet

I have been crocheting for many years but I have not attempted tapestry crochet.
I keep visiting Carol Ventura's site and I have my eye on the Kitty bag to start, and hopefully in the next couple months I will have time to start it. Then I have hopes of proceeding to bigger tapestry projects. Tapestry crochet fascinates me.
Carol has a wonderful site and I have seen her on TV demonstrating tapestry crochet.
The wonderful world of colorworks awaits me,if I just find the time.
So many projects I want to accomplish, I just need more time.

Learning to Crochet

I learned to crochet from one of the most important people in my life. My Grandmother taught me to crochet when I was around 11, showing me a wonderful hobby which I loved. She did not teach her daughters but she taught me, her first grandchild.
I was proud to be able to crochet to do something that this wonderful woman could do.
She was a tough teacher often grabbing my crochet piece so I could watch her do a new stitch and then have me repeat it to her satisfaction. Gram could look at a piece and create it from sight.
Now 47 years later I still crochet, I love making gifts for everyone and I am passing her legacy on to her great granddaughters. They share her talents for color and creation and I hope someday they will continue to pass on crochet to the next generation.

The video is created by a very talented crocheter. ST Patrick's day is right around the corner. Crocheting offers something for everyone.

What does crochet mean to me?

I find crafts are relaxing, and crochet is enjoyable for me. I like to crochet for many reasons, one of which is that it makes me think of my Gram.
I was always my Grandparents girl,I was the oldest of the grandchildren over twenty of them. When I could be with them I was there. I enjoyed their company, and eventually lived with them for many years.
Now I am getting older,55,and due to a back injury,
[I am feeling about 155,} I have the opportunity to craft more these days, and I have found it very relaxing and satisfying to produce hand made items.
At this time I have produced two storage bins of items{both loomed and crocheted},I am working on gifts, and I would like to donate some to homeless shelters.
This is a rambling kind of post, but I was having trouble sleeping,a lot of pain tonight,so I am rambling on.
But if you haven't tried to crochet, try it I am sure you will enjoy, and if you have tried it, I hope you enjoy and have the time to Create lots of items.
